Discovered by Jacques Cousteau, the Thistlegorm sank in 1941 after being hit by a German bomb. El Mina Wreck

A 70m long Egyptian minesweeper, lying at 25-30m in Hurghada Harbour, El Mina (not the name of the ship but Arabic for “the harbour” where it lies) is simply enormous and looms out of the blue surprisingly close to land. Often used on a PADI Advanced or PADI Wreck Diver course, El Mina was sunk in 1969 by Israeli fighters and its anti-aircraft guns and minesweeping equipment are still clearly visible.

Salem Express Wreck

Wreck Diving in the Red Sea Salem Express.The Salem Express is a modern wreck of a ferry. Bringing pilgrims back from Mecca to the port at Safaga, she sank in minutes in December 1991 taking at least 500 down with her. The ferry took a short cut and hit a reef knocking the bow doors. Underwater, you will see all the trappings of modern travel – suitcases, game boys,clothes, blankets alongside the marine life which has firmly established the Salem as a reef as well as a wreck. A memorable and significant dive to be treated with great respect.

A cluster of five attractive ergs of different sizes rising from a flat sandy bottom at 15m-19m depth. Some ergs are overgrown with soft corals. It is a small reef but it has a lot to offer you a very beautiful site can be circled in about 60 minutes, provided the current conditions. You'll find a lot of interesting macro life, there's an overhang with gorgonian you can find long nose fish, hawk fish, trigger fish, parrot fish, unicorn fish and sweet lips.

This dive site also known as Hyndeman reef. This site can be as drift dive from north side providing you know how to make a proper current check. You can explore a wonderful coral garden to the east through a dramatic underwater landscape and circle a few ergs that come off the bottom at 16m. You can see narrow canyons finding plenty of trigger fish, wrasse, parrot fish, surgeon fish, emperor fish and banner fish.

Is one of safaga's most popular dive sites. It's a large reef with south and north plateau breathtaking steep walls on the east and west sides. The weather conditions must be excellent to dive this reef. Abu kafan is great drift dive provided comes from the right direction. You can see schools of banner fish, big groups of giant barracuda, big eyes, black corals, soft corals.

Um Halhala

This site is also known as Shaab Quais which means beautiful reef. Two ergs emerge from 13m on a large plateau the drops off into the deep at 25m. You need very good conditions to dive this place.
